Two significant building addition projects have taken place at the Mars Area High School over the past few years.
The Auditorium addition consisted of a grand lobby, a proscenium stage with a fly loft, state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, and seating for 989 people. The new auditorium can be used independently of the remainder of the high school building with separate entrances and mechanical systems. Future classroom space, rehearsal rooms, and practice rooms were included in the design of the lower level.
The one story educational wing of the high school facility was expanded to match the existing two story wing. Adding the second floor and expanding the perimeter size of the existing building allowed for the addition of new science labs, addtional classrooms, art rooms and home ec rooms. Renovations to the existing school office and health suite as well as a new entrance were also part of this project.
