Professional Biography of
Robert L. Marz, A.I.A.
Mr. Marz began his professional career
in 1981 with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Penn State
University. In 1988, Mr. Marz completed his licensing
requirements and became a registered architect in the state of Pennsylvania. Mr.
Marz holds an accreditation from the National Council of Architectural
Registration Boards (NCARB) enabling him to become licensed in any of the 50
states.
Looking for an opportunity to become established and work around the Erie
area, Mr. Marz was introduced to Dale Roth who was looking to expand
his successful architectural practice towards the Erie region. Mr. Roth hired him and in 1994,
Mr. Marz became a partner in what is known today as Roth Marz Partnership
PC.
Mr. Marz has received several design awards throughout his career.

Masonry Institute BAC Local #9 Pennsylvania for the new East High School

Since the mid-1980's, Mr. Marz has had direct involvement
utilizing his design skills from pre-design thru construction completion and
project closeout developing
numerous projects throughout the state of Pennsylvania. He has
been responsible for many successful nursing home projects,
educational facilities, parking structures, multi-family apartment buildings and
many other projects. During this time period his firm has designed over
$200,000,000 worth of construction facilities.
As a graduate of Cathedral Preparatory High School, Mr. Marz has fostered the
mission of his Alma Mater by creating a "relationship of mutual respect with the
community." His public service includes Annual Sponsor of the ASL Golf Tournament, Perseus
House Charter School of Excellence Board of Directors and the Boys and Girls
Club of Erie Board of Directors.
Many clients feel more comfortable dealing with one of the firm's
Principals on a daily basis and that is what Mr. Marz strives to deliver.
